10. Australia (589,796)

Australia is well developed country with high literacy rate. This country was at 7th position in the last year. Due to awareness through sexual education in the teenage level the pregnancy rates has decreased in the early age of teenagers. This problem was started from the 1970s. The report indicates that 589,796 births were seen per 1 million people. Australia is ranked at number 10.

9. Canada (607,224)

Canada is also suffering from this problem with high rate of pregnancies in teenagers. The areas included Alberta, Quebec, and Ontario. The rate has slow down yet due to educational awareness. Last year it was ranked at number 4. With 607,224 pregnancies per 1 million people.the Canada is placed at number 9.

8. Portugal (700,644)

Portugal in new in this list with high pregnancies rate.  Due to non awareness in sexual education the rate is increasing. In a report more than 700,644 teenager pregnancies have observed in 1 million people. Family restructuring and socioeconomic status are the main reasons for this problem.

7. Ireland (781,375)

Ireland is also a new entry in this top ten list. The rate of pregnancies has increase due to UN-sufficient efforts in family planning and in sex education awareness. per one million people 781,375 pregnancies has observed which ranked it at number 7th position in this list.

6. Poland (788,760)

Poland was the second most highest pregnancy rated country in the last year.  But the teen pregnancy rate has decreased with 788,760 births per million people due to sexual education implementation which rated it now at number 6th position.

5. Iceland (889,677)

This is again a new entry in this list. This Country is at number 5th with 889,677 births in teens per 1 million people. The sexual education is needed in this country to reduce this ratio. The efforts by the Govt should be done in awareness among the people.

4. Hungary ( 916,858)

Hungary is at number 4th position with highest teen Pregnancy rate of 916,858 per 1 million people. This is a huge one .This pregnancy rate is increasing in this country. Last year Hungary was at number 10th position. Poverty, decrease moral values and alcoholic consumption is the main reasons in this country in increasing the rate of pregnancies.

3. New Zealand ( 972,491)

With 972,491 pregnancies in a year per 1 million people, New Zealand holding the number 3rd position in this list. It is a new entry which was not in top 10 list in last year. This problem has started since 1980. Many of the teens use contraceptives despite of these the rate has increasing. This has become a major problem in this country.

2. Slovakia (1,112,870)

Slovakia has suffered this problem because the teen pregnancy rate has reached 1,112,870 births per million people. This increase rate should be stopped by the government  by participating some efforts in awareness among the people. Due to much poverty in Slovakia the teens can not get the sex education due to not going to school.

1. United States (1671,630/million)

United States is well developed country with high literacy rate. But due to bold society and non restriction from the parents the Pregnancy rate in teens has increased even before marriage. The 13% teens has done sexual experience at the age of 15.  Sexual activities has be observed in unmarried teens too which ranges from 27% to 37% in teen girls and 28% to 50% in male teens. With 1671,630 pregnancies per 1 million people the United State is at top of the list.
